Ubiquituous Charging
Owner at effiziente.st Energie- und Umweltconsulting e.U.
About
Charging options for a comprehensive charging infrastructure
There are few charging options in city centres, partly because street-side parking dominates, but ubiquitous charging means that electric vehicles can be charged anywhere in the built environment. This has the advantage that batteries remain at temperature, inefficient fast charging can be avoided and no doubts are sown that electromobility is not scalable. Three partly unusual solutions are visualised here; the best solution that also meets the electrotechnical requirements is to be determined in a project.
Goals
Charging option along an entire street if there is no other option for block development.
Easy access to overnight charging, so that you can start with full and warm batteries.
Charging in a moving queue - e.g. for taxis or lorries in front of factories for just-in-sequence logistics
No positioning constraints - charging regardless of exactly where the vehicle is parked.
